Gabriel was an unplanned puppy, however when Susanne Schaub (Scottsdale Beardies, Germany) sent me the customary selection of puppy pics, I looked at his face and knew I had to have him
He was aptly named Gabriel, and he has lived up to his name in every way, being my “Angel Dog”, and everyone's favourite.
Unlike Gatsby, who was a natural show off, Gabriel and I took time to connect in the ring. A soft, gentle soul, he had to learn how to show himself. Once mastered, there was no stopping him and he has continued to charm judges with his gorgeous breed type and superb movement. These attributes have been acknowledged by Beardie Specialists visiting South Africa. Chris Walcowicz awarded him Best In Show as a Junior when she judged our Bearded Collie Club Champ Show here in 2005.
